Frequently asked questions

What ages do you take?

Children from 6 weeks to 5 years, in four groups: infants, twos, threes and fours. Each group has its own schedules.

Can we tour?

Yes. Tours run on weekday mornings, when the groups are outside, so you see the yard in use. Book one online, or call us.

What does a day look like?

A gate-side welcome, outdoor play, snack in the garden, lunch indoors, rest, and more time outside in the afternoon.

What does licensed mean here?

Waddle is licensed by DELC, Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care. Our license number is in the footer of every page, and we are glad to show the license at a tour.

How many adults are with each group?

It depends on the age group. Infants and twos have the most adults with them, and every group has its own number.

How does tuition work?

Tuition follows your child's age group, the schedule you choose and the days of the week. We go through each part, and the figures, with you at the tour.

What if it's raining, or the air is smoky?

We dress for rain and go out. We keep the groups in for ice, lightning, high wind and smoky air. The director checks the forecast and the air each morning.

What if my child is sick?

Please keep a child home with a fever or anything that would make a day outside miserable.

Who can pick up my child?

Only the adults on your written list. A teacher meets each one at the gate and asks for ID from anyone we haven't met.

Do you share photos of children?

Only with your written permission, and never with a child's name.

How do I join the waitlist?

Tell us your child's age and the schedule you'd like, by form or phone. We offer places in the order families joined, and call each family when one opens.

Still have a question?

Call us or write, and the director will answer.
